I keep feeling as if I've missed a whole lot from Aphex Twin. I only have what might be considered essential releases, I haven't ventured into the lesser known stuff, and releases under other aliases. Rather than go throwing money around (that I don't have), I'd like you guys to help me. What tracks from old Aphex releases do you think I need to not only help me get back into him, but to give me clues as to my next Aphex buy. I have: Selected Ambient Works 85-92 Selected Ambient Works Volume II I Care Because You Do Come to Daddy E.P. Richard D. James Album (Europe vers.) Drukqs Thanks. |

it depends on your tastes. but having what you have and with my taste I would go for: analogue bubblebath 3 surfing on sine waves (very much like saw 85-92) classics (compilation) caustic window compilation |

about my 4 top options: analogue bubblebath 3 : one of my favourites surfing on sine waves (very much like saw 85-92) classics (compilation with the digeridoo ep, xilem tube ep, half of abb1 ep and some extras, great old aphex, but its hard if you like that) caustic window compilation: includes all the releases under this name, but except two tracks, r2d2 and popcorn, the rest are all here (joyrex j4, j5, j9, j9i) |

there are real gems on the Ventolin EPs. some filler too, but some of the best 7\ tracks (crowsmengegus mix, probus mix, cylob mix, wheeze mix.....) |

Windowlicker was the first Aphex I ever heard. Were it not for that track I probably wouldn't even be here now. |
