i ve seen dj kicks with kruder & dorfmeister, terranova...
and I just read about nicollete...

no, its just a mix cd by the featured artist.

K&D was good about 4 years ago - bit dated now. i've got
one by NoW as well, but that was toss.

so if the cd is : dj kicks nicollete?

it means its an album with nicollete mixing stuff?
her stuff?

no, its a cd of stuff she has chosen to mix. it'll probably
include some of her stuff but it'll mainly be other artists.

It is kinda like a mixtape by the rich-and-the-famous.
Atleats by the famous...

It is a pretty good series...The ones by Andrea Parker,
Nightmares On Wax and Nicolette are among mt faves.

the one by nicolette is more of a compilation than a mix
album
my favourites are the one by kid loco, stereo mc's,
terranova, playgroup

Apparently there is one by CJ Bolland as well...that should

mixing involved + im pretty sure other people are producing
music for her...or could it be that im wrong? :)

well, she is not much of a DJ to mix like Andrea Parker or
NoW...but she is pretty good with her selections...

It seems some are readily available but others are rarely
seen. Wonder how some of them feel about being pushed by K7!
to different degrees.

A majority of them are relatively mainstream artists...so I
wonder if they really care at all. They prolly get more
exposure from other means.

i'm not a big hip hop fan but the stereo mcs dj kicks album
is an excellent compilation. a weird mix of different styles
but somehow it works.

its ike when you make a sandwich with everything you have in
the fridge. makes no sense but put them altogether & glue
all the ingredients with salad cream (not mayonnaise, thats
for middle class wannabes) and it tastes amazing.

thats made me really hungry now :)

the kruder&dorfmeister is a classic. it's like coomon-sense
music. *everyone* will agree that it is nice music ;-)

i also like the dj cam, the kid loco and the smith&mighty
releases.

nightmares on wax is rather disappointing.
