just finished listening to 'hot potatoes - the best of
devo' and oh my god, why havent i heard them sooner!?
brilliant, new wave post punk electronic geek music, genius

and you can tell they had a heavy influence on kurt cobain,
mongoloid practically is a nirvana track

early 80's

you might know thier most famous track 'whip it'

whip it!
into shape!
shape it up!
get it strait!
going forward!
move ahead!
try to detect it
it's not too late!
to whip it!
whip it good!

Devo is great.

If you like them, check out their modern-day equivalent, the
mighty Detholz!

nirvana covered turn around, it was the b-side to the whip
it single

there was a short period where i loved devo, especially
after i got the "adventures of the smart patrol" cd rom. i
think thats what it was called. basically you had to do
certain things in a certain amount of time
