Anyone know if AE plans to release a remix compilation
similar to the one RDJ did?

Yes, they have no plans at all except if they decide to
release a remix compilation when they will have to plan it.
So in conclusion, yes no plans.

The '26 mixes for cash' thing came about as some small label
was inquiring about liscensing all Aphexs remixes, and as
it's a small world, Richard heard about it and thought he'd
ask Warp to do it before them otherwise he wouldn't get any
money....

aphex's to be honest. i have heard the aphex ones i care
about.....

the aphex collection (26 mixes) is really good... but in
many tracks I see a poor production... or at least bad
quality sound...

I love 26 mixes, and I would love something similar with
autechre

parts in the post is great too

squarepusher could do it too, and also uziq... hehehe that
way we would have the whole set of mixes by the top 6

As far as I heard the Rob Brown tapes (originally) he made
for fun. No intentions to officially release them.

'He always does stuff like this for fun' I was told. It's
basically Hip Hop stuff being wiledly treated with
electronics.

I was also told that one guy working for SKAM 'took them
tapes home, because they were laying around and nobody
wanted them'.

I am not sure how reliable the source is, it might be one of
those stories (like the ones circulating about BOC Demo
tapes).

Why would nobody wanting these tapes at SKAM?!
