so i guess it's just been said that 'tri repetae' reminds
someone of sex, but are there any particular types of music
and/or albums which you find are better than others to, erm,
get it on to? (besides the obvious 'let's get it on' by
Marvin Gaye, of course!) as far as i'm concerned, it ain't a
proper shag unless you've got a good soundtrack for it!
hehe!

i'm unhappily single for the time being, so no contemporary
examples, but from past experiences, here's a short list:

Biosphere 'Substrata'

Woob '1194'

The Verve 'A Storm In Heaven'

Massive Attack 'Protection' (duh!)

Spiritualized 'Lazer Guided Melodies'

Radiohead - 'Hail to The Thief'

Prefuse 73 - Vocal Studies + Uprock Narratives

Global Communication - 76:14

Autechre - Confield

Brian Eno - Ambient 4/On Land

All of the above are past and future listens.

apart from the Dr. Octago project, that's by far the best

What girl could resist these words playing in her ear while
she is getting down to it :D!!!

You want freestlye, that's right, the style is free
Niggas suck my dick and they girls drink my pee
I'm on some S&M shit you can't get with
Pull your panties down on stage and watch you sweat quick
Suckers back to pull their style's transsexual
Lesbians dance with the funky heterosexual
You on the mic, and when you rhyme I start to jerk off
Let my dog lick you German Shepard want to bust off
I tell your legs and swat em, MC's having anal sex
Step around like a Tampax, and step up next
I enter New York, no problem with my dick out
California porno star, my ass you can lick out
Saying "What?" with sperm dripping down your partner's butt

hmmm. but imagine making out to confield when your parner
starts getting twitches to the music, and keeps saying "what
was that noise?" it has happened to me.....or is this
hyperthetical questioning assuming that everyone knows about
confield and appreciates it?

Fuck, I was gonna say "Let´s Get It On".
"I Want You" by the same guy is also highly sexual and I
like it a lot more than Let´s get it on.
"You sure love to ball" must be one of the dirtiest love
songs ever!!

hmm. i dunno if 'confield' would be all that great as
shag-music, honestly - unless someone's into hardcore
bondage & sado-masochism - although even then, merzbow's
'music for bondage performance' would probably be the better
choice.

although i do kind of fancy the thought of getting down to
NIN's 'downward spiral' someday, but usually moody and
mellow (candlelight a must, of course!) is the way to go,
methinks!

and what girl could possibly resist Dr. Octagon's expert
medical treatment:

"It's morning, 7 o'clock you at my clinic
it's me your orthopedic, gynecologyst
you looking pretty and fine
go ahead blow my mind
girl whats wrong come here
let me take a look
you say you got burnt
your man should of wore a rubber
what type of partners you have
and whose your first lover
he never turned you around
showed you doggystyle
we got some things in common
hunny lets talk about
did he lick you there?
perculate your atmosphere
I got a mask at home
both send some leather gear
how about me and you and black
I'm hitting from the back
tail in my face and all juicy brown booty
I'm the master rubber
please let me do my duty
girl let me touch you

Girl let me touch you there
I wanna feel you

Girl let me touch you there"

well, there's always the ever-excellent nymphomatriarch for
those less noise-inclined. =)

and as far as merzbow is concerned, since, as slug raps,
"i'm good at giving but bad at receiving" (the curse of a

merzbow to please that special someone, but otherwise, it's
all smooth sailing with thievery corporation, etc.

yeah, ecnadniarb and i are both fans of Kool Keith (autechre
are huge fans! matter of fact, Keith played at the ATP
festival they curated), so those lyrics were from his
tres-excellent 'Sex Style' and 'Dr. Octagon' (an underground
rap classic, btw) albums, respectively.

yeah, i bought that CD at my local indie record shop when it
first came out, pretty much for the fact that it had the one
gescom track on it (otherwise it's shoddy quality rip from
vinyl with this stuff). some stuff's a bit annyoing on it,
and the autechre track is a bit crap (too old-school for
me). i'm not too big on compilations generally, though i do
have quite a handful.

oh i got one recently, for the love of god i can't remember
the name of it (i spend hundreds on cd's every month) but
anyways, it had a rare autechre tune on it, and it was
something like the history of influential el;ectronic
artists, and they made a type error in part oif the cdd and
put rob brown and sean 'davies' or something....the thing
is, they haven't even asked and don;t care that they haven't
got permission to release this cd....
awesome track too!!!

hehe! i'm a sad CD addict myself - this girl actually called
me a music whore, which i had to admit is indeed the case
(though i justify it to myself by saying that it's better
than being a crackwhore).

i need some sort of a wealthy one-foot-in-the grave
sugarmomma to support my habit! =) after she leaves me all
her wealth in her will and kicks the bucket, i'll be set for
life (though i'll probably have to spend the whole lot on
therapy after all that gross geriatric sex). speaking of
geriatric sex, now that viagra makes it possible, what do
you people reckon old folks shag to? barry white? michael
bolton? tony bennet?

well, i hardly ever shop on-line, but yeah, i can be a bit
obsessive about stuff - i've ammased pretty much everything
autechre has released (not including rmxs, which i have all
of on MP3). whenever i go visit my friend and his girlfriend
in Toronto, i usually end up spending a fortune on stuff i
can't get anywhere else (and yes, i'm one of those sad

mention the fact that i'm anal about not getting my CD
booklets wrecked - which is one of the reasons i hate
special packaging - too easy to damage)

no, i'm missing that one, actually. i haven't downloaded

but i have heard of that subrosa compilation a bit back - i
think either pitchforkmedia.com or absorb.org had an article
