It's one of those things that whilst it'd be cumbersome to
do, would be worth it for the principle of the thing :)

Not necessarily. If you're using Freenet, your ISP may be
able to report that you're using Freenet and you've uploaded
2 GB and downloaded 3 GB of data. They have no way of seeing
what kind of data because it is encrypted.

Even you - the operator of the Freenet node - can't
determine what's actually stored or being transferred from
your node at any given time.

Of course, the ISP can just outlaw Freenet totally ...

If they were proper Christians they'd forgive the people who
pirated their music. They certainly wouldn't want to sue
