heh

matrix - I didn't like
grooverider - I didn't like
Ed Rush & Optical - I thought was overrated
Source Direct - Not Bad
Photek - Really Good
Dom & Roland - Excellent
Metalheadz - Not Bad

None of them sound anything like Go Plastic though...

well go plastic isn't exactly straditional dnb. so maybe
you're asking the wrong question?

I didn't ask the question :P

I just assumed even if they thought Go Plastic was drum &
bass it would be Go Plastic type sound they were after :D

Since Photek was already mentioned, I'd get your hands on
some 4 Hero and Icarus.

the song go plastic is 2 step, not d n`b
let`s begin saying that.

as for the whole lp, it is not d n`b it is prolly defined as
some weird type of drill n` bass. although not all of it.

so, we can`t answer your question properly unless we can
fully understand your question.

anyway...

some good drum n bass /jungle would prolly be_

dillinja_cybotron lp
ed rush & optical_wormhole (definately)
dillinja & lemon d _the crash test step
dj marky_audio architecture
technical itch_killabites 2

and probably you`ll like either
bilious paths or
lunatic harness from µ-ZIQ

The song "Go! Spastic" doesn't sound 2-step at all.

"My Red Hot Car" does, though.

theres not much classified as drum & bass that matches go
plastic, except in the most broad sense.

however, some things i'd recommend checking out if you like
go plastic,
other than more squarepusher, and aphex:

venetian snares - all abums and 12"s
emotional joystick - cd on zod or 12"s
bogdan raczynski - most cds & LPs
the flashbulb - esp. 12" on bowa
undacova - esp. EP on pleemobil
xanopticon - mutant sniper 12", peaceoff 12", mirex 7"
exillion - 12" on zod
vaporizer - CD
solar-x - CDs and 12" on hymen
com.a - just about all his stuff
ove-naxx - CDs
curtis chip - 12"s on zod
otto von schirach - 8000 BC and chopped zombie fungus

as far as cut-up stuff more in the d&b mold, look out for
soundmurderer (on rewind), general malice (on big cat), 0=0
(on mashedup). some of luke viberts stuff fits the bill,
you may have seen the posts on the upcoming amen andrews
eps.

for just innovative, punishing breaks,
on the more hardcore end of things, check out slepcy,
abelcain/davros, rotator, minion, resurrector, slaaam...
etc.
