I have just ordered a brand new behringer UB2442 mixer! OH
yes check this : here, and some balanced cables.
also today I was given a pulse generator by my school
physics department cos they dont want it and its my last
day. so a new mixer and a f.gen which goes from 0.1Hz to
15MHz. Sounds like fun. although the fgen is v.old it has
lots of knobs on it and wierd scientific bnc connectors, not
jacks, so i need to make some cables for it, so perhaps I
will be able to make some very weird sounds now...the f.gen
as ext. and sync. inputs. i shall say no more :)

don't the limited number of keys get on your nerves with the
oxygen 8? ive got the evolution Mk249C and thats got 4
octaves and a dozen assignable faders, which I find much
easier to use, if a tad large for laptop use(i dont have a
laptop tho)

Zeus: what Logic version are you using? I'm thinking bout
upgradin my Gold 5 to 6 just for the freeze function and the
channel strip in the arrange window. Any other nice
features?

I got the UB2442 mixer a couple of days ago, and I have to
say it is great! I paid £259 for it from digital villiage,
and the value for money is just brilliant. I highly recomend
the UB series to anyone. My mate has the smallest in the
range, and I have the biggest, and although the applications
are different, they have both excelled. The build quality is
solid and the fx section is comprehensive (99presets). I
know most people have a budget which wont stretch to a
yamaha dm2000 or anything, but if you can, check out these
consoles.
