Remixing and a big hello from me :D

Hi peeps, I'm new to the board but it looks great.

Well, Ive been making music for ages and electronic stuff
(after a very old mate introduced me to some bleepy stuff
many years ago) for a few years.

To relieve some intense musical blocks I really want to get
into remixing some tracks (from a mates band). I'm using the
usual, Reason, Recycle, Cubase, Acid and my trusty old
Yamaha A3K. One snag though is trying to get the vocals to
fit in with my stuff. I'm not a Recycle expert and have no
idea how to tweak the tempo settings to get everything in
time.

Any remixing vets out there care to share some wisdom on
this and other remixing tips.

Cheers folks,

niun

(sorry if this is a repeat thread but I'm lazy and working)

Try this cut up the loop at normal tempo, then speed it up
to the appropiate tempo or speed up the loop to appropiate
tempo then cut it up and pitdh it doen if required, that may
work.

i usually use this program called sound edit pro to
pitchshift stuff to the right length, the more you do it the
easier it becomes, you usually have to use a guess and check
method on how much you have to pitchshift.

cheers guys. Another question this time for the Reason
peeps.

Can you map say Sub Tractors filters to Redrum and really
screw around with the kinda dull drum sounds.

At the moment I have Redrum controlling a deep bass sound in
Sub Tractor but it just isn't the same.
