cartoon network-adult swim

does any watch this wonderful block of television? it's on
late on thursdays. it's cartoons geared towards an older
audience, often containing adult content, adult situations,
adult language, and sexual innuendo. in general, these
cartoons are over most kids heads. "the brak show" has to be
my favorite show by far. the line up also includes home
movies, space ghost coast to coast, sea lab 2021, hawkman
birdman? attorney at law, aqua teen hunger force, and cowboy
bebop. if you're up late one thursday night, tune into
cartoon network and watch this quality programming.

i've always enjoyed space ghost, some of those episodes are
a trip. don't think they make new ones though :(

on the contrary, there are new space ghost episodes being
made. unfortunately they are far less frequent than they
used to be. not sure why.
The latest one (aired in sept.) featured Bjork and Thom
Yorke. Quite a trippy episode.

is this in the u.s.?

hevquip from a giraffes throat on 2001-10-26 21:05 [#00045848]

yes. it's in the u.s. on cartoon network. if you can get
cartoon network, adult swim should be on it.

Yeah, the Thom Yorke / Bjork episode was great, hehe.

Yes, I LOVE adult swim. I've taped the first few of
them.

I've been waiting for a few years for them to adopt an
'adult' block of programming, like they have in canada...

<3 <3 <3 adult swim.

Space Ghost? Classic
Cowboy Bebop, amazing.

Has anyone ever seen the Bebop where they get the mushrooms?

hevquip from a giraffes throat on 2001-10-26 23:38 [#00045914]

i saw cowboy bebop last week where a lobster that was put in
the refrigerator for a year and forgotten, turned into
leftovers from hell and run amok on the ship attacking
everybody.

the brak show always cracks me up

father: "mother, have you seen my purple suede jump suit?"
mother: "no dear. have you looked in your top dresser
drawer?"
father: "no. how about you go do that for me right now."
mother: "no. all i do around here is slave away, cooking,
and keeping the house clean. you go look for your
jumpsuit."
father: "but that would defeat the purpose in asking you to
you do it for me."
brak: "are you guys fighting again?"

blah, blah, blah, hilarious antics ensue.

The festival of feet.
There's feet and feet and feet,
and don't forget the feet.

I'm hard for you baby-
I'm a big ol' beet.
I'm red but not embarrased-
And I go good with meat.

<3<3<3 the brak show.

Andy Merril is so hillarious.

The Space Ghost show and this Adult Swim stuff has always
struck as pseudo-intellectuall, trying WAY to hard to look
smart and hip. It isn't close to the Simpsons in hipness,
just more pretentious with nothing to back it up.

Over here in the UK cartoon network is pretty crap, bar one
programme.
Home movies.
Yes i may be 16 and it may be for kids, but the timing and
sutlety of the jokes cracks me up totally. More so than the
bulk of programmes devoted to my age group.

A man may have as many hairs on his head as there are stars
in the sky! But that does not mean he can throw a party that
attractive movie stars will enjoy, responsably.

Man, I love Home Movies. It's not aimed at kids, though,
and I don't see how you could have got that impression.

Why did I reply to this old topic?

I did a search for "jumpsuit"
