/¬R¯|¯ BO`/ from \\/enice I¯|¯/¬L`/ on 2001-10-26 15:37 [#00045779]

Hi drukqys,
here's Artoboy back again after a month. As I told you, now
I have encoded the Venezia Biennale videos of Chris
Cunningham
"Flex" (not yet done, I'm working on it)
"Monkey Drummer" (50MB the high quality 640x480MPEG video,
stereo sound) (8 MB the very little version with mono
sound).
Both videos are with aphex sounds, in particular Monkey
Drummer has the first 2,5 minutes of St james... etc from
Drukqs.

Now the problem is... how and where can I put this stuff?
I'll be able to use fast internet connection from next
monday. Let me know what should I do!

kisses

ARTBOY

i could only find the 29mb money drummer video on soulseek.
and it's only 1:30 in length! isn't this supposed to be a 17
minute video? where do i find the full thing?

17minutes??... I think you must be thinking of Flex...

The 1:30 one you've got is from the Creative Review
DVD...it's an edit but from what I've seen the full one
isn't a whole lot longer than that...

Has anyone got a version of FLEX yet?...

I've tried downloading a couple of .MPGs from soulseek but
they don't seem to work (which is a bastard as it's 126
megs...)...

Just tried a partially downloaded Flex.mpg I had on this
laptop with the Elecard MPEG2 player and it seems to be
working fine...

I've only got the first 6 minutes but will try and get rest
tonight if I can... needless to say, I'll let you you all
know if it works ok...

It looks like pretty good quality as well...ie. not a
camcorder job...

nah...the soundtrack to flex is a mix of SAWII stuff with
perhaps some new stuff as well...

The mp3s of it are all over soulseek...think it's about
34megs...

Just checked my copy of FLEX.MPG at home with elecard mpeg
player...

and it works...YAY!!!

...& forget what I said about the soundtrack being
SAWII..YAY!!YAYA!! .I haven't listened to it all yet but it
seems a whole lot different than the MP3 of the soundtrack
I'd previously got hold of...Its all new Aphex stuff
basically...

YAY!!!!!

From what I can tell, this version was recorded using a
camcorder but the picture & sound are suprisingly good...in
fact, until you see the edges of the cinema screen in parts
of it, you wouldn't really notice...

I got it on soulseek..do a search for Flex and someone
should have it available; I'll make sure my copy is shared
next time I'm on SS...

AND IT'S A FUCKING EXCELLENT BIT OF ART AS
WELL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
AM ITCHING TO GET A DVD OF THIS ONE DAY, PLEASE...

p.s. And this version is 11 mins 45secs & looks complete...

Can anyone confirm the time?...

Phew...just watched it all the way thru...quite a startling
piece of work...

The soundtrack is very ambient & free form &
visuals/soundtrack sync together very well...

There are bits of SAWII in there...especially at the end but
the majority is more freeform...

I'll have a listen thru of the MP3 i've got of the
soundtrack and see whether its part of that or not... if
not, I'll rip the soundtrack to MP3 and share it
soulseek...

------------------------------------------------

I know I should stop posting about this but it's not
everyday you get a nice newish bit of CC & AFX...
