It's pretty odd isn't it, the winducky thing quite mad it
sounds like somebody got carried away with the granular
delay, and the pitch control.

I really really like these releases. I listened to the first
Help Aphex Twin the other night for the first time in ages
and really got into it. V/Vm are wicked. Got the right ideas
and attitudes, etc., as regards to music. Lack of self
importance, etc.

are they really worth getting? i've seen the help aphex
stuff around a lot but can't be arsed to listen to it.
seriously - is it worth it?

i really like the gorse album on v/vm - very funny,
especially if you are from cornwall like me.

gorse

no lizard, they aint. it just sounds mostly like the whole
track has been put through a vibrato and then a very digital
distortion algorythm-its boring, and if you want a funny
pisstake buy rephlex's "100% genuine"

i have the red and blue original pressings and i assume they
are the same as the compilation cd

Oh, but Mr. Jingle- the compilation has "Dirty Quoth" and
another new track! :-O

so for dirty quoth read "quoth put through a fucked up noisy
filtery thing that makes it sound a bitter weirder"?

who made that 100% genuine then? i never heard of such
strangenuss.

He he, I sold my copies of Help Aphex Twin. Fun novelties,

i have the "HelpAphex 2.0" disc .. "because you don´t give
a fuck" and its great noise stuff for mixing. its good noisy
stuff and often funny... well worth it. i saw en live and
they totally took the piss, playing distorted pop songs
ad-nauseum from their laptop, miming to em. not bad for a
fiver and they´re friendly fuckers out for a laugh

100% genuine was basically someone who put lots of adverts
in fetish and lonely hearts ads in the papers/magazines and
recorded the responses on ansaphone. then rephlex put them
on cd for the likes of u and i to laugh at. it is part of
the rephlex catalogue but no "cat" number

i didn't order it directly via lowland records but at a shop
and they said it could take some weeks.
i probably going to cancel it, i don't think it's that great
cd to wait any time longer.
