I'm not being funny with you but I try and listen to everyone who posts up a track and I try to give comments on them...more than most of you do...and it pisses me off when I listen to shit people have put no effort into and get quite a few replies, when someone who is not one if the xltronic clique has spent ages on a track and noone can be arsed listening. |

Doesn't do anything for me... you have a couple neat little ideas which come and go without adding a whole lot to the track. Sounds like it was experimentation, learning some new techniques, and just laying it down and sending it out. As far as that goes, it's not bad, the sounds are clean, and the slides and stutters add to the drums, you have a good ear for it That being said... The energy doesn't move. It dies quickly and I'm bored. The sound is flat, the noise/distorition doesn't add a whole lot to the loop. I think if you worked the noise into almost a melody instead of just modification of what's going on, it would be a lot more interesting. I'm seriously thrilled the people on this board are honest about what they hear. You're going to get bad reviews for whatever the hell you create... Beethoven went through the same thing, go read up some history on Rachmaninoff for some seriously malformed critique stories. Post the track again when you've finished it, and I'll be glad to give it some more critique And about the newbie thing... I'm still a newbie, and I'm gonna keep posting my material until someome tells me to stop... here's a couple tracks I finished recently, one jazzy, one drillnbass, feel free to add some comments of your own. Osama's and Hitler's baby... for some reason I picture the singer from ZZ Top with a Hitleresque mustache and a turban... that's freaking creepy |
