GGGGGGGOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
yeah i have the album. its
ODDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD!
probably top 2 0r 3 of 2003. it was quite unexpected
really. i thought at the drive in was ok...but this stuff
is pretty incredible. like pink floyd on a meth/smack
binge.

the review i read was good. said it was prog-rock and quite
a departure from At the drive-in... might give it a go

thats weird. they look like a bunch of xs if you stare.
thats not how i wrote it though. glitch. it means 'they
changed something'

Seen them once, opening for Red Hot Chili Peppers, and it
didn't do me a thing.
Their music was quite boring, the guitarist just used one
effect after the other, which I think is not good.
I kind of likes at the drive in, but TMV is not my thing.

ive been listening to mars volta since the 4 track demo his
the web quite a while ago, followed by tremulant, they are
definately better than atdi and am looking forward to this
release very much. one thing that annoys me though is that
a while ago, the band had this manifesto about not going the
easy way and doing what sparta did and rehashing but instead
staying true to their roots and being on an indie label but
now there on universal (wtf?). not that i care thats its on
universal and i wouldnt have minded if they never made that
manifesto but they just did the reverse of what they said
they were going to do.

Followed them since their inception - I loved ATDI

The album's great, but the best thing they've done is 'State
Your Preference', non album track available thru PTP2s
