Every avatar I've made has had real shotty quality when
adjusted to meet specs. Are there any better settings that
will retain a better color space, etc. and still meet specs
for using on the board? I use ImageReady by Adobe at work.
Don't have anything here at home for GraphicsConverter but
the shareware expired.

mine looks fine.
I resized it with imageready. Just take a jpg avatar man,
you don't need all that annoying moving stuff.

You can have SWFs on Watmm.

Animated PNGs exist, they're called MNGs, and they aren't
supported by anything I know of. Read here more
about MNGs and how they work.
