bought a record just for the cover, a funny name, or some
impulse that you need it, not even knowing what music it is
??

i had two days ago...
so i was at my local record store, and they sold different
cassettes for about 2 bucks...
so i found two one.

sr-71 - now you see inside - it had such a cool cover, and
the arrist name... thought it would be electronic music. but
now i know that it's some shitty limb-bizkit like tunes...
worst album i have know.

second was

electriclarryland - butthole surfers - oh man, that album
name... i couldn't resist. it's some fuckin shitty rock. i
think i make some remixes of it.

do you have something similar ?

Bought The Railway Raver - You'll never get anywhere
spending all day playing around with that bloody drum
machine... EP largely for the name and because it was on
rephlex. It's not too bad though.

Bought a Donna's picture disc just because it was a good
picture and only £1.

Those are the only ones I can think of and they're both
quite good.

just because of the cover

i'll never buy an album just for the cover, but when
i see an attractive cover i try to get information/sound
samples from that artist, hoping it will be good...

i just bought Double Figure by Plaid without hearing it,
because Plaid was on nothing records and warp records so i
thought it would be good. and it is indeed - was a good
surprise even : )

there was this funny CD packaging also, a transparent
plastic thingie with horizontal bumps and a blue jelly
inside, very tempting! but i forgot the reference... (i
don't think it would have been very good anyway)

rip out all the tape from the inside and make some kind of
artistic ornament with all the loose tape.

Not an album, I don't think, but a large number of singles
in the past, some of which have got me into the artist.
