for me a definite highlight of Sonar2003.

gabba assualt... Nice in-betweeny noises
On stage the guy was fucking stoic. His 3 spike mohican cut
was the shit and he was just a bloody killer on the decks
with the massive screen behind him showing exactly how he
was in control of his knob(s). He played a shitload of track
10 AFXSonar2001 type gabba and just kept the insane energy
up for donkeys.

if you like the craziness of Vnsares live, the bangingness
of AFx on the decks and the confidence of Squarepusher
glaring atcha... catch a Hellfish today!

Found the record i got on the web!!!

Artist: Radium and Hellfish
Label: Deatchant
Tracklisting:
A1 Detox
B1 Motordog Bytes back

"What an explosive combination of artists: Radium vs
Hellfish. They dont need to be introduced to you because
they are for sure two of the most important producers in the
hardcore scene. This label is fuckin awesome because they
have created their very own special sound. Some fans
complain that each vinyl include only 2 tracks because each
track of this label is so fuckin original. The experience of
both producers help them to create a must have release. The
bassdrums, combinations of samples, scratches, cuts,
variations and every fuckin element sound so good that you
will play it again. So buy this one maddafucka. "

sweet

i wish i saw more of him at dedbeat, he sounded great from
what i heard, problem was he was on at like 4-5am and i was
a lil bit worse for wear by then. will definately try and
catch him again though.

he looks like a tough bastard!

yes yes yes! hellfish was great, and got the crowd going,
and put on a great live show, as opposed to just 'played'...

He looked really styley too, as keyfumbla says! Also, he
played in the best venue at Sonar - the gallery type
hall...

i tried listening to some of hellfish's albums a while ago
and thought they sucked... was i wrong... hellfish is decent
drill, is this what we are saying? what's his best album?

thats exactly what i thought... i only heard a few tracks...
and couldn't get into them....
But live he works really well. Really reeeeeally well.
The song Criminal he does (remix of eminem song) is nice to

But i don't know much.

Hellfish isn´t decent drill, he´s fucking hardcore.
I guess my fav album would be "Meat Machine Broadcast
System" tho he isn´t really an album kind of artist.

yeah.. heard loads about "knifehandchop". i luv my gabba
thanks to afx sonar2001 and squarepushers breezeblock set
and that scene in "Morvan Callar".
I l,istened to the 12" i got - amazing! although it defo is
designed for mixing with lots of squelchy, glitchy "Lesser"
kind of stuff or Craig david or summit.

Its proper Bo i tell thee

im getting in to hellfish a lot more recently. never thought
i'd like gabba but his shit is really good, it has a lot of
breaks in it so it keeps you interested. it has a lot of the
aggression vsnares has but for me is way more listenable.

was he on decks and a laptop at sonar?

playin the wax he was.

(i wont get into comparing Vsnare, Hellfish and squarepusher
though... you know what´ll happen!) Lets just say we
fucking love their ardcore, aggressive, pulsing energy and
it makes us griun with glee!

FUCKIN AVIT!!!

true, probably a wise move!

at dedbeat he had a laptop but was spinning vinyl aswell.
very intense! guess he was playing mixing tunes off both,
probably using fx off the laptop too, it was totaly seamless
though.

me wants more gabba!
