just got it today - i havent hear it proper yet, but what
i've heard so far sounds great - he really is the master of
noise

btw, its an four 3-inch cds album packed in a planer? but i
think there's only for about 80 minutes of music or so
anyway sounds even better to some of his other music i've
heard before (there isnt much tho)

i also got his "aqua necromancer" today, very good release
as well - i think this one is good for people getting into
noise music

im really getting into noise lately, i loved that stuff
russell haswell played on sonar + im getting merzbow
releases and some other noise music from alien8

i don't want to get into it too much tho - it would surely
take to much of my attention, especially because there's
plenty of noise music around...

Noise is strong, ultimate energy, but difficult to handle,
tho it has it´s own logic...

satanstornade is worth picking up too if you like both akita
and haswell. merzbeat and a taste of are nice too. does
anyone have haswell's live salvage 97-2000?

actually satanstornade was the release that got me into
noise
don't like "taste of" that much tho (but i need to listen to
it some more)

Ahhh....nice little Merzbow thread to start work with, I
guess this morning isn't all that bad anyway :)

Merzbow is an essential live experience! I've seen him live
three times and the first time changed my views and
understanding of music completely. I don't have many of his
records though. I agree with tolstoyed that it's too much to
get too far into....

I have 70 Merzbow Cds, I highly rec the Merzbox, as most of
it is not what youd expect from Merzbow...

How much did you pay for the Time Hunter, it was way too
expensive here

Listening to: Throbbing Gristle DOA

is merzbox the one with 50 cds??
(i think thats a bit much...)

time hunter was 22 GBP + import tax, but is really nice, so
im bot bothered with the price really

i can get enough of AQUA NECROMANCER - i especially love
"contrapuntti patto" - so wicked and intense
is there any other simmilar stuff - noise with beats?

like this album.

does it have beats or is it pure noise?

The stuff released on Release (Relapse) is the best, and
most readily available, imho. All his new powerbook
created noise just pales in comparison.

theres no beats, its just.... hmmm

toned down and less abrassive. more droney and entrancing.
a masterpiece work from heeman and akita.

if you dig it, check out some of christoph heeman's other
work. him and his brother andreas martin are SUPER talented
guys. they were in HNAS, i dont know if you ever heard of
that outfit. i dont dig alot of HNAS stuff, but mirror
(heeman and andrew chalk) is good, mimir (heeman, o'rourke,
ka-spell, etc.)is good, and the double disc with his brother
is good.

TimeHunter is good. I just started getting into this field a
little bit. Certain moods call for noise.

hear that.
I know Heeman through his work with Current 93. Really
incredible dark ambient stuff.
