I decided to get into Arovane, what should I listen to
first? Should I explore his music in chronological order or
can you suggest anything more useful?..

Atol Scrap should go down well for a start...

Ummm... is Arovane an alias of Autechre by any means?

Atoll Scrap is not as easy to get as Tides... And Tides...

Xltronic covers him too...

Yeah Atol Scrap is original sounding, and even more
interesting than Tides... I need time to get in the feel
though.

Tides is their best album imo.

Atol Scrap is a great piece of work. But honestly, the
harsichords and guitars of Tides are too beautiful to be
relegated to second place. So I would suggest Atol Scrap and
the Tides...not because one is better than the other, but
just because thats how I heard them.

While you are at it..try to get the Arovane (1998) EP...it
has 'torn' and 'parf'...two of my fave arovane tracks. If
you cannot get that single, get the singles compilation Icol
Diston. That has the complete single on it...though some of
the other tracks (from 2 other EPs) are quite dull by
comparison.

Atol Scrap is the perfect start imho. Really just grab as
much as you can by him because his releases are class.

seeing him live on Saturday as well :)))
