what's the best software for recording sounds off the sound card? i've been messing about with that pro-53 synthesizer by native instruments and thought it would be fun to record something using it. i've tried a few programs, but so far i'm getting an awful lot of buzz and statics everytime i try to record. any thoughts?

Can't you use Pro 53 as a VSTi? If so you would be better producing the WAV file rather than recording from the soundcard directly.

It is a virtual instrument. If you have sequencer package an a midi keyboard you can record midi pattern and they play the pattern back using Pro 53.
You would be better doing a search on the internet and reading up on it.
