thanks :)

get the dvd, has both english and japenese versions.
subtitles optional.
with a special option that translates graffiti and road
signs throughout the movie for you.

and the job that was done remastering the image for the
thing IS AMAZING!
probably the best looking picture ever after they did that.

I was super tempted to buy the dvd today, and i don't even
have a dvd player!

though, i think od is looking for the comics, not the dvd

yair im after the comics, but might still grab the dvd....

sounds good.

i fucking LOVE the artowkr in the film...who did it? tong li
i think did the art for the comics and its looks liek its
the same person (except diff. media...obviously the fiml
animation loakcs detail...all the brushstrokes across the
face for shading etc...)

akira is ahead of its time. the most amazing thing about it
is its totaly hand drawn and painted.
no computer-drawing in the 80's

I like Battle Angel Alita more though.

I prefer the hand drawn Mangas. Subtitled is best coz you
can see how the team sync'd the lips to the Jap speech in
Akira. Fucking Ace
