fennesz is good but I thought endless summer would be a lot
better than it was, im still looking forward to venice.
kevin drumm is good too. why does everyone always talk of
hecker but not tim hecker on alien8, tim hecker is awesome,
haunt me is great, if you like stuff like fennesz id
reccomend it...also try philip jeck - stoke.

my fav mego are:

days of mp3!!)

& hecker
(very close 2 ktpa but more "ambient')
is very good, his very last is weird but brillant

bought this one (mdos.at) the other day
i can't believe it cost me 12 euros for shipping from vienna
to paris for 2 cd's ; its ok when its us or asian shipping
but 6 euros for each cds sent, i don't think austria was
that far from france... i only paid this price because it's
mego & i respect them a lot, but..

I believe they send everything insured - I had to sign when
I had ordered from them once.

Yeah MDOS's shipping cost is really high. I paid 16€ for
three CDs last time ! It's horrible ; but the price of CDs
is low so it's balanced and finally it's the same than
elsewhere...
I really like MEGO, especially Fennesz, Pita, General Magic,
Farmers Manual, Florian Hecker, Coh and Jim O'Rourke (who
has released one laptop album there) but i don't really like
artists such as Noriko Tujiko, Sluta Letha or Massimo : they
are pretty crap.

Not me... i didn't sign for anything.

yes it's true, finally it's not that xpensive (2 cds for 36
euros) ; i didn't sign anything neither. at the watmm forum,
i kept on posting about farmersmanual RLA: has anyone heard
the whole thing?? Not i but i'd like to.
also check the whole mdos site they still have manhunt cd
from rephlex.

RLA ? no... i only know "Explore we" and "No backup".

offline notmyname from France on 2004-05-20 10:24 [#01197945]
Points: 683 Status: Lurker

you don't know RLA!!! (3 days & 21 hours of music in
mp3+pictures), it's an incredible dvd, endless music by fm +
r.haswell, cd_slopper, pan sonic (check mego.at or warp
site) ; explorers, i don't like it much...some live set from
rla are better i think. what about 'no back up'?

I don't like "Explore we" neither, but "No Backup" is great.
It was one of the first MEGO records. A blend of House music
and Clicks and cuts, really nice.
