is #4 the one with corey feldman in it? I can never remember which one it is - That series is alright, some nice deaths and all, but always felt it lacked something -- like pace.

i seem to remember someone called de leuw (or something like that) who did the artwork for some of those Fighting Fantasy gamebooks (Steve Jackson and Ian Livingstone - ah, fond memories) and for Proteus magazine... or am I imagining it. Or maybe no-one cares. Yes, that'll be the one

yes, the incredible corey feldman... I always wanted to get part 3 though, the end is so chilling, especially with jason having a more "living" attitude and reveals himself briefly to freak the girl out... awesome moment! :D

I think I got up to about 35 or 36 before I decided I'd grown out of them. I still have them all somewhere. And those "sorcery" series, in the original boxed set version with the spell book :)

Some well-meaning but completely clueless aunt gave me some of those "choose your own adventure" books for me for christmas one year. What pitiful shit they were. I was a purist FF man (ie nerd) back then.

They were bollocks is what they were. plus one of them could only be completed by turning to a random page and hoping you got the one that said you'd won. Trust in luck or something.
