did a search......promise =0)

okies.....so a few months ago i FINALLY purchased '13' which
i was less than impressed with (only listened once, listened
to a few songs twice) and then decided on a whim to buy
their new release. i didn't get a chance to listen before
going to see them live at 'fargging field day fest' but on
the drive their FINALLY listened to their album.

i was impressed, and i was even MORE impressed after seeing
them play LIVE at the show. WHAT a HIGHLIGHT. he really made
a connection with the audience and with such nice gestures
as throwing raincoats to several members of the audience did
a very gentlemanly thang......=0)

anyway........seeing them live convinced me that my
judgement was too swift and while i like their latest effort
more than their previous, i'm gonna give it another listen.

ps......Damon is a HOTTIE! oye

the new blue album is so weak, 13 is their best one I think.
theres a few good tracks off think tank but it has no flow
and a lot of bad songs(crazy beat, weve got a file on you,
pretty much most of the album)

I love AMBULANCE. Best Blur song to date.

I absolutely love Think Tank. One of the best albums so far
this year. I'm not a big blur-fan, but this album really
caught me by surprise!

think tank ROCKS
I was sooooo happy when I first heard it
everyone underestimates the fine musicianship of blur. if
only that goddamn WOO HOO! song had never gotten radioplay.
that's like, the worst single ever. and it sounds nothing
like the rest of their music?

i love blur. i was orginally dissapointed with think tank,
but kept listening to it regardless. now i can't stop
listening to it. there's a secret track before the cd (that
rewind it before the first track kind of thing), by the
way.

i think 13 is brilliant, too (same with the self-titled
album). both you have to give a few listens to get into,
though.

boyfriend.......man thats a great song.....he pulled out the
listing and it was AMBULANCE.

i'm terrible with titles.....i just say the TRACK number
believe it or not.....ahhahha but that song title i WILL
remember! =0)

I had very, very low hopes for Think Tank. I thought it
would be shit.
And yet, when I bought it, it *still* managed to be the most
disappointing record I've ever purchased. I can't say how
much I hate it.

mogwai should talk.. i'm a major mogwai fan but they take
the piss just as much as blur. why are half the tracks on
rock action like a minute long?

i just reckon there won't be.
damon's got all his solo stuff

i kinda get the impression think tank was just a gesture to
say: "we can do it without graham"
and they proved they could, so now thats it
I really can't see another blur album

this album didn't blow me away on my first (and only)
listen.
nor did the last one.
the self-titled record had some alright tracks.
the great escape is the worst thing theyve ever committed to
tape.. although 'the universal' is ok for a teary-eyed
hand-holding arm-swinging
lots-of-girls-nearby-singing-at-the-top-of-their-voices type
ballad.
parklife is a victim of it's own success, but was pretty
good for when it was released. certainly showed a band with
more potential than the glorified pub-rock that was oasis.
i can't remember the name of the album before. but i
remember hearing a single from it when it came out. was my
first taste of blur. another one of their songs with a big
la la la la la chorus. song was called 'tomorrow' or '2oth
century boy/girl' or something like that.

i actually have an old copy of melodymaker from the end of
the 80s with a review of a blur gig in it. they absolutely
slated them for being a generic indie band, trying to do an
essex version of the manchester 'baggy' thing & failing
miserably. i'll try & dig it out next time i'm home & put it
on the mb if any blur fans are interested. it's pretty
funny.
i'm fairly sure that jounalist will have done a 180degree
turnaround & eaten their words when blur got really big
here.

*shudders at the memory of that whole media-fuelled
'britpop' thing*
