My name comes from Tolkien's myths.
It's the name of the first Dark Lord, in the first era, also
named Melkor.
You should read "The Silmarillion" to find out more, or you
can check:
the encyclopedia or ARDA

Back before the Tool album "Lateralus" came out, their
official web site announced the "official" album title and
track listing, which ended up being completely fake.
"Smyrma" was one of the song titles and I thought it was a
really cool word.

offline Jedi Chris on 2003-06-12 10:43 [#00737946]

I chose my name because when I first came here I wasn't
really that into electronic music, and being a Star Wars fan
that I am, it seemed fitting. I do have a lot of collectable
Star Wars stuff....but I'm not like one of these types who
goes to the geeky conventions and knows the scripts
backwards...in fact thinking back I wish sometimes that I
hadn't used the 'Jedi' bit. I kinda feel sometimes that
having the name 'Jedi' in my name kinda limits the type of
pics I use in my avatar, because perhaps people may expect
it....but hey - I can't turn back the clock!

Besides, having been here so long, I'm guessing many of you
have gotten used to seeing not just my name, but others too.
So to change them would be silly!

May the Force be with you! :D
