Just register under a new name and abandon that name - it's been done before - I remember Patrik used to be someone else, and he quite openly stated that he was abandoning his old name (can't recall what it was). I know he isn't the only person to have done this either. |

I don't see the problem - someone should be able to discard their username and have it deleted from the database. I'm sure if there was a huge flux of people abusing it then it would have to be dealt with, but in theory, I don't have anything against it. |
