I like all people, regardless of where they come from. It really shouldn't be an issue at all.
I like anyone, until proven otherwise

I think we Scots dislike the English to a certain extent. It is a sweeping generalisation, but the English are perceived as being very arrogant. I worked for British Telecom, and I can testify that a lot of the English(particularly people from the Southern Counties) were very rude and short with me. The further north you go, the friendlier the people seem to be (Scousers, Geordies etc). Another factor is the News, especially if the England football team are playing. There always seems to be a superior attitude and they forget that Scots, Welsh and Irish have to watch this. English folk are fine, but as a collective nation, they can be irksome in my opinion.

the further you go away from the city the more friendly people show up.
counts for all countries.
in spain i got the impression that i met the kindest and nicest people ever,
no matter if city or countryside.

american people hate french people, french people hate american people. if you generalize.
i don't know how french people are actually depicted in america, arrogant and dirty and many other things... if you want to know, in france americans have the reputation of being fat, ignorant, stupid, greedy, with a terrible police, the most powerful of the world yet the most irresponsible, not caring at all about the others, arrogant as well, etc. you can see it on tv satires and other stuff, i bet americans do the same with french.
of course it's stupid to judge millions and millions of people with a cliché... i don't have anything against americans myself, except french-haters, or any-other-country-haters, i don't consider myself patriotic but that's just stupid and disrespectful, xenophobism is like racism...
i think george w. bush and jacques chirac have something to do with the clichés their respective countries have got.
