Holy fucking shit, as anyone heard this thing?!! I just
listened to it for the first time and it destroyed me!
Insane, mind-bending complexity and ferocity in the form of
a tenor saxaphone (Coltrane)and drum (Rashied Ali) duet
recorded in Febuary of 1967, only a few months before
Coltrane died. Amazing, amazing music, so go to your local
record store and take a chance if you haven't experienced
any late-era Coltrane.

if you like that, you should check out the Olatunji concert,
which is supposedly his last... he sounds like a supernova
exploding on stage, like he just dying right in front of the
audience... it's so good

I've been wanting to check this out. Weird that it was
mentioned here.

I've heard that the recording quality is pretty poor, but
the performance is great. What's your take on it? I may get
it next.

oh, it's not that bad... his saxophone is really loud... but
from what i heard it wasn't like there was anything missing,
or difficult to discern in the mix...

It's a synchronicity, so go get it, post haste.

Does Sanders play on that one or not? I have "Live in
Seattle" and love it, but I prefer the later stuff (a la
"Stellar Regions") without him.

(sax).
