first interview for 16 years ... follows him on tour ...
intimate portrait ...
etc...
I'm gonna watch it because I grew up listening to the Smiths
and their mozzas' lyrics fitted my depressions , cynicism
and wit better than any other artist i knew at the time.

its true his musics been dodgy since the split , but if i
watch only 1 thing this week , this'll have to be it .

Bumping this up to let people know that you can download the
documentary. Details at www.morrissey-solo.com

They've been posting one part at a time, there's 4 parts.
They also have BitTorrent links (which I used to acquire the
files.) There's also a transcription of the interview if you
can't handle the download.

I doubt they'll air it here in the U.S., that's why the
downloads are available. But there's rumors that the
documentary will be included on an upcoming live DVD.

There truly is no better soundtrack to sexually frustrated
17 year old adolescent males than Morrissey.

Unusually enough however, I used to hate morrissey at age
17. I spent most of my time listening to my bloody valentine
and ministry. It was only as I became older that I came to
appreciate moz.

This was the one that was on Ch 4 last week, yes?...

if so, highly recommended....I was such a huge Smiths fan as
a teenager - possibly the best band ever (for me,
anyway...)...

it bites that they don't have ONE british channel on
cable.....they have tons of boring ones they could replace
for just ONE ..... sounds like it was a good program.

I'm sure it's no accident that we don't have any decent
British channels here.

At least 30% of our stuff seems to be stateside stuff
anyway...perhaps even higher...

Since getting cable I've realised exactly how georgeous TV
without commercials is...We have to pay a licsense fee every
year of around £100 ($160 USD..), but most people think
it's worth it...

This mozza doc was made by an independent company and shown
on Ch4 (non BBC commerical channel)..so it wouldn't surpise
me if it makes it way onto US screens soon...(a lot was set
in the US..Moz driving his Cadillac(?) along the LA freeway
was such an odd sight...& his house in LA...WOW!!!...)...

I'm sorry you guys can't download it. I was tempted to offer
you burned copies of the files through snail mail, but then
I realized what a pain in the butt that would be. I'm
definitely spoilt by technology.

My computer is wheezing and crawling, and I'm scared to
reboot it because it may never start again. Only half the
stuff works on it. Soo0 maaaadd argghhh... so I've been a
stranger here lately, but I hope to get it fixed soon and
get back to ''normal''.

But I'm pretty ticked off.

The total sum of the 4 parts is only 374megs, you can fit it
all on one cd-R with room to spare.

phrase...

I used to take the day off on holiday everytime The Smiths
released a record...sad fan boy I am (and remain)...
