just come back from the kid live ... what an amazing set. the warm up acts were fat as, as well. an incredible beat box guy right up before the kid .. before him there were some solid mixes including tracks like afx (remix1 - 808state), cylob (smash up the pram) etc. amazing. never dreamed of stuff like this happnin in nz :) RE: kid606 - never seen a guy so intense infront of two laptops (g4 and an old g3 + mixer unit) ... the set was mad. up to and over 200bpm (4/4) sections .. truly wickid. featured lots of stuff .. the thing most notable perhaps was track 4 off his action packed mentalist ... sped up about 11/2 speed ... although he coaxed the crowd by not playing his a-ha mix .. :/ ... managed to shake his hand , but couldn't really talk as stuff was too loud. awe inspiring. |

tonight was incredible .. centurix .. did you go to the melbourne gig? how woz it? i heard it was supposedly the best one in oz? followed by brisbane? sydney apparently wasn't too flash hot .. dunno who rated them tho. brisbane was meant to be quite glitchy .. akl, wasn't anything near glitchy. random fact: violent turd is nz based label |

I've got the flu at the moment, so I didn't go to the Melbourne one. But my mate Nettic went to the Sydney one and he reckons it was really good. He only found out about the gig about 5 minutes before it started, then he rang me on the mobile and played the gig over the phone. That was awesome. I hate being sick. It sucks. |

I went to the Melbourne show and it was AMAZING The "beatbox guy is DJ SMALLCOCK he uses guitar footpedals and a contact mic to make his sounds, we also had CURSE OF DIALECT a Melbourne weird rap band signed to Mush, and a erally boring rave band from Queensland, they were acting so hard and it was really dadted and lame, but the rest was 100% |

DJ smallock was incredible .. the crowd couldn't get enough .. the guy has amazing skillz .. shame it was a bit short tho :/ other than that we had some solid local acts - no queensland band here :) .. just dj's from bfm (student radio station, featuring all sorts of goodness) .. i'd say - the whole night was 100% if not 150% :D |

he played where i work here in brisbane last week... he had a salad and claimed that we gave him food poisoning when he threw it back up. his set was very gabber... i wasnt as impressed as i had hoped, but then again i was behind the bar working for the whole set |

i opened for 606 last summer. great set. he had the crowd going really good. im surprised so few of you are into his stuff. there are a ton of great tracks. |
