i have a pc and a laptop... but the laptop has been acting
funny, and i cant trust it live, but my pc would be secure
totally, but i cant haul my pc to the gig... is it possible
to use my harddrive tower, and use the laptop as a monitor?
im a bit worried that something bad might happen when i turn
the laptop on...

i doubt your laptop will have a video-in... so i dont know
how you could use it as a monitor for the pc

why dont you ask the venue if they have a monitor you could
borrow.... like even from an office or somethign?
