um, okay. the song is pretty DARN good, if you ask me. better than anything anyone ehre has turned out so far (me included). the video is NOT a tool ripoff, if you consider this guy had been doing this type of stuff since '83. SO NYAH! :P |

i think this could almost pass as a puppy track. its darker and more, um... spacey than the stuff on welt. the storyline and concept of the video is great, too. more people need to be speaking out in this way. |

on one hand yeah i agree its always been good that ogre says what he does personally ive become tired of politics/nasty imagery in music tho.. i really listened to Too much skinny puppy back in the day :] |

but theres a good and bad place to take it to. on the one hand, i have always love that he is like a lone voice, crying out against injustices and atrocities. on the other, alot of self-destructive behaviour seems to come along with that. |

as far as the goth thing, trust me, i hate it. but for some reason, maybe its because my pre-teens were spent on puppy, i think of them in a totally different ball park than everything else. to me, it just seems like goths and rivetheads clung to it, rather than them catering to that scene. |

the president bush thing and the consumerism and greed thing was SO well done in this video. BIG props for that. the reaper giving that dude cotton candy that turns him into the zombie? ROCK! it's such a good visual representation of how that stuff works. its almost like voodoo. |

hahahahaha it sure was. that guy has charisma out his arse. ive seen him twice live: once with pigface in their prime, and once with ohgr. he is, without a doubt, one the greatest live performers of the 20th century. the amount of sheer energy his puts into his performance is stunning to behold. he might not be a great singer, or always hit the right key, but his heart and soul geos into his art in a visceral way most people never get to experience. |

damn.. yeah a friend of mine caught the doomsday performance in germany.. she brought back a bootleg of the set just hearing it was fsking scary i mean he was totally out of key and fsked up.. but yeah.. as a result.. it was one of the most emotional 'electro' gigs ive ever heard then i saw photos from that peformance.. ogre dummies getting shotgunned by extras.. man..! |
