Have you guys heard the Diminishing Returns 2CD from Shadow?
I picked that up a few days ago and Im really diggin it.

Also, for the Shadow fans, pick up the Private RePress album
(remixes and b-sides). Great stuff.

between not feeling the remixes on the private repress and
not owning any blackalicious i'm starting to think you're
not such a dj shadow fan..

lol

I am liking it a lot... maybe even more than the private
press

are 11 and 12 videos really? I am gonna try in my pc

blackalicious? I just got a to g ep and blazing arrow (apart
from quanum spectrum)

It's like this... I got Endtroducing..... it quickly became
my favourite album. I then heard Psyence Fiction and I
thought 'Damn, this guy's a genius'. But since then I've
really lost faith... I liked The Private Press a lot upon
purchase but looking back on it aside from a few tracks the
album seemed like a joke. I wanted to hear Shadow go all out
for his first solo album in 6 years but what I got instead
was a sort of half-effort, an album he made for himself
rather than for other people. Okay maybe not a good way of
putting it but still I'm not satisfied with it. I started
downloading Blazing Arrow a few weeks ago and a few tracks
in I discovered it just wasn't for me :(

Maybe I'll give The Private Repress another try.

well you don't have to, not to be an ass but it doesn't seem
like you're really cut out for dj shadow or quannum. if you
liked endtroducing try the rjd2 album, he does a great copy
of that style.

nacmat, yeah, they're enhanced videos.. pop it into your
cd-rom. also you should pick up "nia" by blackalicious, it
has one of dj shadow's best/most interesting beats ("cliff
hanger") and is just overall a great album.

how can you say someone isnt a shadow fan just because they
dont like quanum\blackalicious and whatnot? ive liked all 3
albums from shadow but find blackalicious to quite
uninteresting. also, saying that someone isnt a fan because
they dont like a certain album is kidn of proposterous.
thats like saying someone isnt a radiohead fan because they
didn't like 1 or 2 albums. (this isnt supposed to be
negative to you titsworth, just seems kind of like an odd
thing to say (maybe I misunderstood you?)

i should've just said he's a fan of his early work but not
so much him as an artist (meaning newer work and his
numerous collaborations aside from unkle)

anyway

after few listens since yesterday I shall say this is a
great album... maybe too short... but still the mixes are
great
