No shit I really did..
I am in London now, not Tokyo anymore and had nothing in
paticular to do this afternoon so was spending the afternoon
wandering around some old London haunts in the rain.

I was looking at the menu in the window of a Japanese
restaurant in Goodge Street, W1 when I looked up and saw the
one and only Mr Richard D James about 15 metres away and
walking towards me.. He kind of saw me looking at him and
looked back, as if he was wondering if we knew each other as
friends or something - I just said alright richard and he
smiled and said alright, then walked on. I didnt try and
follow him or talk to him like a crazed fan boy or anything
- but it was cool just seeing him go about his business like
that.

Weird day - I bumped into two other people I knew today as
well..

I talked to richard after his gig in london at the
electrowerks partys .
i asked him if he was making a new album,(this is before
drukqs) and he just replied yes and give me his aphex smile
.

i was so happy :)

I'd probably ask for an autograph, but I don't think I'd be
freaking out like some crazed fan... I think artists like
that would feel flattered getting asked for an autograph...
it's just the crazed fans that freak them out and annoy
them... and it's not like RDJ gets harrassed an over amount
I wouldn't say... he'd probably be flattered...

TokyoJo you lucky cunt, i cant believe you kept your cool in
such an exciting situation, if i was in your situation i
would have just gave him a polite smile and laughed as i
walked past him.

every where i go i always carry my digital camera in my
pocket so i would have probably asked him to take a photo of
me. imagine a photo of yourself that richard took. that
would be the best

To answer the question above - he was wearing tracksuit
bottom type of trousers and a fleecy green top and he still
has long hair.. Not that it matters very much.

I would also make the observation that he walks in a slighly
mincing kind of way. A bit like one of the teletubbies.

I'd be afraid if I saw him strolling fifteen metres away
from me I may throw myself at him in a wild uncontrollable
influx of hormones
or maybe I'd be chill, like you were. but probably not

yeah the thing is, RDJ is probably reading this as we
speak... so there goes the idea of not letting him think
you're a crazed fan!!!

"I prefer his hair long, but dammit he wore a HOT track
suit!! Oh, and he walks like a teletubby!!!"

;)

since i had one or two wicked moments where i freaked out
after meeting famous guys i try to calm down now, before it
gets too awkward ;)

asking for an autograph is still ok imho

what good does an autograph do?
Why ask for an auograph if you could chat with someone for a
sec?

Id make my favourite sound and ask him if he likes it.
