hhhm, I'm not sure if I should be happy about this. I mean
the Alien scary part is wearing thin, and with alien
resurrection still etched in my mind like like the abortion
of a movie it was this couldn't be good news.
Check out the scoop here
I hope

those are just rumours. they haven't even written a script
yet. James Cameron is very intrested in writing and
producing the 5th one. Ridley Scott likes to direct it, so
what could possibly go wrong with that combination?

no 4 has been somewhat off-series.
i saw the first one yesterday and was fascinated once
again.
that was really a masterpiece,
though how the victims become served on a plate is sometimes
a bit cheap horror-story.
1 and 3 have great cameras and if scott gets hands on this
it may be nice again.
i dont trust movie companies to get a earth invasion done
nicely.
id be thrilled to watch it though

if i was to make another alien-movie id take a plot similar
to the dark horse comic Aliens vs Predator.

this is how it goes:
a rancher planet somewhere gets approached by a predator
ship.
predators are keeping a alien-queen in prison and place
their eggs on foreign planets to hunt aliens for honor.

this has a lot to offer, because aliens could breed in
differnet animal species on that planet and get different
metamorphosises, like the dog-alien in no3 which is the only
variation that has taken the series forwrd so far.

imagine what all could happen then when humans are breeded
and attacked, by aliens and maybe predators as well.
later some pact between predators and humans could take
place as predators accept humans as hunters aswell.

i remember thinking a similar thought before Ressurection
came out. I thought to myself:
"This is gonna be great! Alien series rules. and its got a
great director (jean-pierre junet) what could possibly go
wrong?"

i was wrong.

oh god was i wrong.

yeah, but we're talking about scott and cameron here, who
have made the two best alien movies. so it's pretty much a
"win win" situation

I think I must be one of the few who actually liked Alien
Resurrection. The third one was the weakest, nothing special
at all, but I still quite enjoyed it.
I'd be looking forward to two more.
