im hoping for some good concerts this summer, and i'd like
to know which bands are worth seeing live...(there are
probably threads about this but im too stupid to find any)

im thinking of bands like massive attack, air, radiohead
(dont like them much, but i'd go see them live i guess -
they're coming close in about a month so i might go...),
sigur ros...
so which were the bands that you saw live and were totally
impressed with the show?

thanks for recomendations

give massive attack a miss.
a lot of my friends went to see them in Glasgow and said
they were a huge disappointment. They've also been getting
bad reviews.
Personally, i wouldnt bother with air either as they seemed
to have taken a severe downward spiral since their early
days.
Radiohead could be interesting. i would've checked them out
in Glasgow if the tickets didnt cost £30 or so.

Some bands/acts i've seen live in the last year and
enjoyed:

Royksopp, Ed DMX, Death in vegas, DJ Shadow, The Streets,
Chris Clark, Dillinja.

They were all good shows.

Radiohead and Sigur Rós are my two favourite live acts.
Both gigs were utterly fantastic.

radiohead is coming to MY TOWN
also I am planning on seeing Jane's Addiciton, and Bjork
but if you're in slovenia, and I'm in the states, it's not
terribly convenient, is it?

yes I saw him in august at kingsbury hall
not bad, not bad, but you could do better!
moby is fun to dance to... but the crowd is a little bit too
mainstream for my liking... and the venue sucked, needless
to say.
if I were you I'd save your money. he is damned expensive
too!

horrible! He tries to 'rock up' his music and it sounds
sooooo middle of the road.

hmm, i guess no moby then...
i was kind of hoping he performs with some big
band-excellent musicians and a choir or something...

i would love to see a gig like portishead did in nyc...i
hope they'll do some shows when they release new album

Don't listen to what they are saying about Moby. He was
FANTASTIC when I saw him last time-exciting, energetic, and
there was a lot of improvisation.
