Draft is less melodic then Confield, I swear!

Why the hell does everyone think Draft 7.30 is more
accessible, and mainly more MELODIC then Confield? I really
don't get it.

I find Confield engaging and beautiful, and full of melody.
Track 1 has the nicest tune ever (over the weird
panpot-noise stuff) Cfern has a really weird and long dark
melody over the fucked 6/8 beats, track 3 has an awsome
melody trying to break through the percussion....then
there's the more accesible melodies on track 6, and the most
beautiful stuff is reserved for the second las track-some
lovely, obvious melodies hanging in the backround there.

Draft, howver, is another story. Though I admit it's
technically frickin' amazing (especially some of those
beats!)...imo, there is nowhere near the melodic quality of
Confield overall. Yes, there are SNIPPETS of melody on some
of the tracks, and some tuneful stuff on tracks 3,5, and
10...but overall, it's far less melodic then Confield. Why
does everyone think that Draft is easier and more melodic?
It's blatantly not. The end.
:)

Yeah, and everyone there said that Draft was more melodic
and accesible. I happened to be offline during that period
and couldn't discuss it then. So I am now. Teee hehehehe.

Oh, and buy the new Zelda everyone!

i like draft a bit more than confield, but i cant give
specific reasons eg better melody....

OK, so niether are particularly melodic at all (I'd rather
if BOTH had more melody)

But EVERYONE agreed a while ago that Draft was there most
melodic form a while, and that's simply not true
IMO....you're all blind to Confield's supeior melodies!

confield is very melodic in my opinion... and really not
that difficult... the first three songs, Pen Expers in
particular, have gorgeous melodies... then there is Eidetic
Cassien (sp?), Uviol... Parhelic Triangle has a nice one
too... it's a great album!

6ie.cr has a very nice melody I'd say.
The one that sounds like a violin and a flute.

i've never really understood why people didn't find confield
melodic... all you had to do was listen to it a hundred
times over... and the melodies all would hand bare for your
enjoyment

i so totally agree with you!

i had 5 hugely unpleasant listenings to confield before i
sold it to scary bear

oh well beauty is in the eye of the beholder (or ear of the
listener)

I mentioned 6ie.cr having a lovely melody.

But there's still more melodious stuff on Confield.

imo, their best melody ever is in the second half of
Cipater-now THAT's a great melody.

i find draft boring.
i mean 6ie.cr is cool the first two minutes but then it just
gets repetitive, same with vl al and p:ntil.
the rest is just boring.

like the "melody" that comes in halfway through xylin room,
i remember i got really surprised and i digged it, but now
it just doesnt do it anymore.

with confield and alot of their other stuff it's a whole
different sotry though.
it never gets old, at least not for me.
i can listen to the envane ep god knows how many timesin a
row.
and confield.. uviol.. it's just beautiful, the beat on pen
expers is kinda lame tho, although i thoroughly appreciate
it as one of the best tracks on the cd.
i dunno, confield just doesnt get boring.

Pen Expers is like one of the most beautiful pieces of music
I've ever heard... at least in recent memory... it's funny,
because my sister gets so stressed out when I play it, she
can't stand it at all... and I'm sure all my friends would
hate it, and call it noise... it's just gorgeous to me,
absolutely beautiful!! Definitely the most amazing thing
I've heard from Autechre...

i actually like Draft 7.30 more than when i first bought it.

ok after more than a year with confield at home I must say I
love it... I think its a masterpiece such as music is rotted
one note or saw II...
for draft 7.30 is still too soon for me to make a deep
review... but I like it a lot too... sometimes I feel its
softer than confield.... but maybe its just that confield
made the field easier for this one...

which of both is more melodic??... I dont know... both seem
to get to my deepest soul (if I have it)

in confield I can see some kind of metallic structure
holding it all... here in draft I cant see such structure...
its more like a massic being

I am finding Draft was instantly likeable, but I am getting
bored with it. And the melodies aren't up there with
Confield.

When I first heard Confield, I thought it was ok, but
nothing special. However, soon enough it became one of my
favorite albums, ever. (Apart from track 4, which is a load
of wank imho)

Confield is much more "poppy" then draft 7.30 to me... draft
is a lot harder because it's focus seems to be on the
beats... whereas Confield in my eyes is maybe an equal focus
on melody and beats...

heh, and I chose to use the word poppy to maybe spark some
arguements on this! :)

poppy? lol.

Whatever it is, it's more enjoyable then Draft! ^^

put draft 7.30 on in my mates conservatory, which is totally
empty apart from a massive fucking stereo... dunno whether
it was the acoustics or the ganja or both but it made total
sense.

My Skirt is more melodic than my pants. But my undies are
less melodic than my Jammies. So that makes Draft my skirt
or my jammies, I wonder??
