i'm doing an all-nighter, writing a 3000 word essay (started
from scratch this evening), due tomorrow. i just feel tired
though.

a few years back i used to live in stress - not too healthy
at all ...

I'm not stressed at all, probably because I'm so regimented
in my lifestyle that everything is dealt with quickly. As a
result I never have anything "hanging over my head" or
causing me long term worry (which I find to be the most
stressful thing- worrying about something a long way off...)

Regimented - pfffffffff, since when? ;)

You are definately not stressed because doing the work you
do, such as playing Counterstrike on the company's time
isn't stressfull! I would have had something to say if you
were!

:D

There is an element of stress in what I do, and I suppose
with many jobs....but the important thing I think is to
realise when it is time to go home you must try forget all
about work!

Absolutely! Think about it, he's posting on this message
board consistantly throughout the day. Now I'm not saying
that I never post during working hours....'cos that would be
hypocritical, because I have done, but certainly not as much
as Mr Moderator. But it does say a lot doesn't it Korben?

;)

between exactly %0 and exactly %100 once every quarter of a

I'm stressed because I've applied for like 10 jobs since I
got home on May 7 but nobody wants to hire me just for the
summer. So I'm going to get nothing accomplished this
summer. Also, my girlfriend lives 7 hours away and I'm only
going to see her once more this summer (already saw her
once) until we go back to school in mid-August.

I guess my problems aren't that bad but they're bad enough
to stress me out, goddamnit.

I WAS really stressed today in anticipation of game 7
between Anaheim and New Jersey. Now I'm just devastated and
depressed. And I have to go job hunting tomorrow, STILL
without one, and I'm going to get booted out of university
soon. Urrrrgh.

I can't get stressed out. I can't get anything really, in
fact I'm so fucking apathetic that social interactions have
become horrible. I don't even feel interested in what
people say (not that I ever did, but now I can't even fake a
conversation), I can't muster up the energy to react to
people unless I'm drunk or something. It sucks.

im just a big stressball - im like a internal combustion -

and i don't know how to get rid of it - ive just lived with
it ... *shrug* it usually goes hand-in-hand with the
paranoia and neuroses - yep, time to hit the ol' bottle.

Oh and don't get stressed. If you feel yourself getting
stressed, sit back, evaluate the situation and take 10 mins
of ME time to sort yourself out.

Stress is counter productive.

offline tolstoyed from the ocean on 2003-06-27 08:45 [#00759308]

i wish that would work for me...

(what is ME time btw?)

offline niun from London (United Kingdom) on 2003-06-27 08:49 [#00759316]
Points: 39 Status: Regular

Time for YOU and YOU alone (i.e. screw everyone else). Ok,
it's selfish but you'll spend most of your life breaking
your back for others whilst you end up suffering.
ME time is MY time. sit back, clear your head and pick up on
everything you see is wrong with your situation and ways to
improve it.
The only way to improve a situation is to find out the
cause.

offline tolstoyed from the ocean on 2003-06-27 08:53 [#00759324]
Points: 50073 Status: Moderator

that is exactly my problem...i know what the cause are to
this, cant do much about it (perhaps i dont even want to
!?)
apperantly instead of having my life under control, my life
controls me

cant wait for this summer to end...

offline niun from London (United Kingdom) on 2003-06-27 08:58 [#00759332]
Points: 39 Status: Regular

well mate, you control your life no matter what you think.
If you're not happy with a situation then change it pronto
and see what happens unless of course you DO want to be in
this situation. That's a tad different.

As for summer, even though I see most of it from my office
11 floors above Paddington, I wouldn't want to waste a
second of it.

i guess im just in one of those stupid situations, where
there's about equal amount of things that i enjoy to those
that i hate
perhaps there's a 51-49 % in favour of ggod things, but
because of this im in this shitty situation...happy,
unhappy,happy, unhappy,...

Stressed try taking up amphetamines for 2 years. see what
you think about stress after that. I agree xanax is good.
Worthy of 10 per day until you get stuck without a script
and begin having seizures when you detox. Sex is the real
thing.

things went pretty good after that full of stress
period...but today...im pretty sure i wont have much sleep
tonight as im in a totally fucked up situation, it makes me
want to hide in some corner and just sit there for like a
month...but i cant as i have this appointment tomorrow
morning (at least i hope so) which will pretty much give me
an idea of what to do...if it turns out good for me, then
great, but in case there's going to be shit - i'd just want
to leave everything behind and like start from begining
(unfortunately i cant do that as im not alone in this shitty
situation). and it is absolutely not mine/our fault to be in
this shitty situation, i guess this can happen when one do
bussines with a stupid motherfucking governament of a stupid
fucking country like slovenia - this is because
administration is not thinking of anything beside when will
they get their paycheck, they dont care if someone else is
going to be hurt by their decisions, they just sign the
papers and thats it...im sure in more democratic countries
one is able to argue about certain things but not in ours
... and btw, they're 100% wrong in this case
i really hope that appointment goes well tomorrow cos i have
no idea what am i going to do if they fuck us up (i guess we
will just have to fuck them back).
(i just wanted to let it out...sorry if you read it the
whole way through...but it feels a little better to do this
:) )

Pretty stressed. I keep getting panic attacks and crying for
no real reason. Even getting on the bus or buying a sandwich
is a big psychological effort, it's like i just can't stand
to be around people for long. Plus, my friends that i have
anything in common with are all going to different
universities than me, i have a sneaking feeling i'm gonna
fail my exams, my art tutor has been suspended for something
he hasn't done and i keep arguing with my girlfriend even
though i love her to bits. Oh, and i can't stand where i
work.

Fuck life.

i get extremely stressed right before a math exam. it's even
worse when you're waiting to find out your results the next
day in class. i start to uncontrollably shake. its the only
thing i care about. fortunately at the moment my avg. is an
A in the class :D i think my fear fuels my need to succeed.
