Trans, working warez SITES are far and few between now a
days. You need to find a nice ftp, use kazaa, or hotline.

Good luck.

That;s the prob man...

Hotline gives an error everytime I install it, I can't find
an FTP, and on Kazaa or Morpheus I can't find it
either...Warez sites suck, I know.

But thnx anyway :)

"oh no fruityloops isn't so much a newbie program... ok I
guess it is."

Impakt uses this to its limits.

The limits to flp is pretty deep. The controllers can make
it an extremely expansive program, nearly modular.

Yep. People who use it with the included samples/VSTss for
10 minutes then pass judgment on it don't know what they're
talking about.

It's a nice program and I think it's very fast to work with,
but it's still got some flaws that I'd like to see get fixed
up.

-Lack of modularity
-Half-assed VST-wrapper
-No "master" shuffle/groove/swing setting for both
step+pianoroll
-Very bad latency compensation
-Bugs in the mp3-loading
-Becoming more and more resource-bloated
-Native plugins don't take midi-on or out

And lots more that I just can't remember right now, but I
know it's there.

My main concern was multitimbrality of the plugins as they
are in cubase, and the ability to send the sounds out on
multiple audio channels. I never had a problem with the
latency tho...

Some of the waves and voxengo plugins really suffer from
lack of latency compensation and therefore lags behind a
couple of milliseconds. But it can be worked around by
shifting the desired sequences a little bit forward of
course, annoying though.

FL can be somewhat max/msp ish in the hand of someone who
really knows how to use it. (like me ;)

but I agree with impakt that it's getting bloated with stuff
we don't really need. Reverb 2 for example. such a waste of
time. or the multiband compressor. they should've put more
work into the live mode thingie. yeah the no swing setting
for pianoroll bugs me to actually.

Yeah. I actually suffered from those same problems in cubase
too tho. Expecially with the GRM spectral bundle.

I thought you were talking about latency with midi
controllers. Thats what I get for being drunk :S

I've almost gone completely over to Ableton now. I used to
think FL was the best thing since sliced bread but Ableton
Live always blows my head off whenever I use it now.

Yeah FL users are monsters meng. Impakt, OD, Mithra, and
Earvalve got that program down.
