Phobiazero from Sweden on 2001-02-23 10:51 [#00000269]

Check out this...but don't be alone...and don't watch it
while it's dark...OK?

I think that Aphex Twin is meant to be taken seriously, but
not truly intended to be frightening. I've never asked the
man, so I can never be sure.

TuneFish from T.O. on 2001-02-27 18:02 [#00000587]

I think he does not want you to take him seriously.

my opinion: he want to be taken seriously, and that there is
a way of thinking besides "fallow the leader" , "listen to
mtv", "buy name-brand cloathing" and so on......

hedtwin from manchester on 2001-02-28 01:01 [#00000597]

my opinion: as long as he is making money he probably does
not give a fuck.

I don´t think Aphex Twin cares whether he should be taken
seriously or not.
The stuff he creates is just brilliant, and there will
always be discussions about those things but, honestly, we
will never have an answer. We can never be sure if he is
going to release a new album even if he says he will, and
even gives us a releasedate, who knows, he might have
written all of Westlifes songs (but i doubt it)..

Phobiazero from Sweden on 2001-02-28 18:20 [#00000615]

Why do you doubt on AFX's relationship with Westlife?

I like that site. People might want to visit absurd.org
too. It hasn't been updated since 1/1/00, but it's just too
cool.

Welcome back!

It's quite simple. Find an interesting topic and discuss it
there. However, if you feel like bringing up a new subject
then create a new topic and let others reply to it.

Hehe.. You got a point there..

Ramalpha84 from www.mp3.com/aureus on 2001-03-02 07:22 [#00000672]

I don't get it...

Anyway, oneday I thought, "I'm gonna download this Come to
Daddy song everyones on about." At first, I laughed, I
thought it was hilarious... then the come to daddy bit came.
The way that is said is rather disturbing, I feel as if he's
actually trying to eat my soul when he says that. Other than
that, when he says it real... big, and powerful, "I will eat
your SWOOOUUL!!!!!!!" That is really scary to. The screaming
is stupid, the drums are wicked and the electric guitar (is
it?) is cheesy in a, big fat scary loud hardcore rock song
way.

So, considering I find most of it funny, I don't think we're
supposed to be frightened.

Syllable#five on 2001-03-03 20:30 [#00000712]

Well? The way that Richard smiles is scary but the fact
that it is a smile means that it must be funny too. Or is
he smiling because he knows that we are being scared by it?

It is very strange and very incimbunsuwental.

Scary Bear on 2001-03-06 11:22 [#00000755]

it's 3 days late!

Phobiazero from Sweden on 2001-03-06 11:55 [#00000756]

Sorry - but only three entries were sent to me...if rest of
the people don't care about it then I won't either.
