"Bicycles and Tricycles" is _scheduled_ for a June 10th
release _in Japan_. No word on UK or US releases,
though...

Great. It's "Cydonia" all over again... :\

More info...

yay. i wish they would do a full Pink Floyd remix album. Or
better still, I wish Pink floyd would do another album. They
really need to tell us fans, are they still a band or aren't
they. I go for the latter. Oh the mystery of it all!

Here's the Orb mailing list...good luck...

Here's a sample of what's coming up...

You'll have to remove your toolbars and expand your screen,
otherwise you won't see the toolbar for the discography and
stuff (Nice flash design, MORONS!)...

Those Pink Floyd remix albums, by the way, are N-O-T by the
Orb. They're bootlegs from some second-rate DJ...

Pink Floyd died after "The Wall" and Roger Water's leaving.
Get over it.

ha ha. I agree. but to be pedantic, the Final Cut was
Waters' last album. no-one likes a smart arse I know. And
when it comes to Pink Floyd, I AM a smartarse. Get over it

the orb died in 1995

Commercially, yes. "Pomme Fritz" was a bad mistake...as was
letting Kris Weston go...

The follow-up albums, however, "Orbus Terrarum" and
"Orblivion" are still great late-period Orb. You should
also check out the "BadOrb" records and the "Death of
Elphame" EP...I'd pass "Cydonia" by...

orbvs terrarvm is ok
pretty much the only orb that does it for me is the double
disk ultraworld album.

"Pomme Fritz" was a bad mistake

No shit, i agree. Pomme fritz actually made me puke once
during the down side of an LSD trip once. It was one of
those heavily vocal sample filled tracks and in my state, it
felt like the voices were coming out of my own throat. it
began to feel like a big finger probing down my throat and
eventually it induced me to vomit.

thats the last time i ever listened to that album.. about 8
years ago.

the BadOrb releases as a whole where very good.
gagging for new Orb though to be honest, been a convert
since Adventures....

Live they are too much, the soundsystem thats usuallly used
for Orb gigs is monstrous.

whats with the Japan rlease first though??? seems a bit of a
strange way of releasing it. I'd have thought a global
release at the same time would make more sense

pomme fritz is one of my all time favorites... but cydonia
was the deal breaker, absolute crap. here's hoping lx has
more up his sleeve....

Orblivion was the great redeemer. Molten Love = happiness.

Alex Paterson is a true musical genius. A bit out of his
tree though ;)

i think orbus is their best, second would be orblivion. i
hate all the early crap. sounds like c+c dub factory.

sorry, i just cant stand "four on the flour" stuff.

i thought cydonia blew, it sounded like they REALLY wanted
to get on the trip-hop bandwagon with that one, which
wouldn't be SO bad, but it just didnt sound like the orb. i
am hoping this new album is a return to the orblivion-ish
volcanic/ambient style.
