Anyone heard of this experimental electronic composer?

We listened to him in my synthesis class... pretty crazy
stuff. I have to analyse his piece "Mutations"

its got all these crazy effects like never ending pitch
slides... keep going up and up, but never goes out of
singing range... an audio trick

sounds good - was it anything like Delia Derbyshire or
Stockhausen?

Cant say Ive listened to Delia yet though...

this class is gonna be great though, Im gonna get exposed to
many more electronic composers. A new one each week!

cool - make a list of their names - I'm always interested in
getting to investigate composers I don't know - and my
knowledge of 20th century composers is limited to the
well-known ones.

yeah, that would be a cool gig. The composers I've heard are
great - Reich, Ligeti, Penderecki &tc

Reich is insane

ive never been able to sit through a whole piece of his...
cause they are like 15 mins of the same melody, just slowing
going out of phase.

it drives me nuts by the 5th minute.

I do appriciate what he did though

I've only heard his 'drumming'. It IS repetitive, but the
way it subtly changes is just great! plus, because it's
percussion, he can kinda get away with the repetitions
