Okay I've had this idea for a while now so here it goes:

Imagine instead of the ice skating championchips at the
Olympics - we now have an Synchronized Dancing championchip.
People compete with other dancers to win first prize.

Here's how it works:

Dancer becomes a living version of a song that they choose.
All moves must be coordinated with the song, however
interpretations can vary.

For example - The left hand can interpret the high hat,
while the right leg does whatever the bass drum is doing.
Almost like being a drummer except you dance instead.
Scoring by the judges will be based on:

The length and difficulty of the track. How accurate was the
contestant in staying syncronized with the song and how
difficult the executed moves were.

So basically its like a Gantz Graf style video being
portrayed by a live actor in front of you.

discuss.

how do the judges, ehm, judge this?

I mean, it would seem one scores better with a complex
track, so there would be a LOT of movement to keep an eye
on.

do the judges each take an appendage to scrutinize..?

or.. WHAT!?!?

No they just look at the overall performance, if they see
something that seems out of place or not working properly,
they deduct points.

sounds rather arbitrary for something that also sounds like
it hangs on good technique..

Damn i have a hard time explaining it because I know what
I'd judge it on... hold on... thinking...

ok. I cant think of anything - so therefore how does ANY
judge of ANY competition know what to judge on? Wouldn't you
have to actually see someone perform it PERFECTLY before you
could be a judge? And therefore how are you sure that the
performer performed perfectly assuming the perfermer he
learned from knew what the hell he was doing and then the
performer before him and him ... etc...

So in conclusion all competitions with judges are invalid
and fake and the only reason for making my orginal idea a
reality is so I can be entertained while I listen to music.

Maybe it could be judged on how hard the judge is made to
laugh seeing someone's legs convulse to the beat of Gantz
Graf.

All judges/participants would need to be extremely
intoxicated for this idea to work.
