if you could have any 2 (electronic or otherwise) musician's skills, which musician would you choose and why?
i would probably have to go with rdj and steve vai (not that i particularly enjoy his music, he is just a good guitarist.)

it'd be kinda cool if someone made some electronic cat stevens remixes, except it would really be complete utter blasphemy..

John Lennon, because I don't give too much of a shit about technical skills/virtuosity (I'M probably a better guitarist than he was!) but I BADLY want songwriting skills like those. If I could write a song like Ticket to Ride, I'd be on Cloud 9.

Squar pushah ... cos of his ear for samples and stitching them together at high speed and his overall sense of groove, which seems to come from another universe
Gerry lee lewis... his skills on the piano and his way with weeeemmannnn

hmm... i'd like the cool (hippie-like? ^^) careless attitude of RDJ, and the beauty of... i don't know, a pretty musician, there are plenty of them!
musical skills? i don't know. i think i'd like to have any talent, i don't care much for in what it is, in electronic music, or in non-electronic music, or in drawing, or in painting, or in writing, or...

i probably should have picked someone who can write good, memorable songs, and not just someone who is technically good, like vai... but i wish i was able, like him, to pick up an instrument (such as guitar) and immediately be able to express myself as well and easily as possible, and be able to improvise in any key/etc without the fear of playing a "wrong" note, it would be like playing an extension of your body, and i would not have to be constantly challenged while playing the instrument like i am now..

-stevie ray vaughn. -robert smith.
i'm sorry, but the cure is just amazing, and robert smith doesn't get the credit he deserves for the music he makes. he's incredible.
of course i could name a dozen others, but. eh. these were the first two that came to mind.

Between three... I couldn't pick
Serge Rachmaninoff One of the most underrated composers of the 19-20th century. The guy is simply brilliant with orchestrations and melodies.
Charlie Parker Listen to this guy's soloing, you'll here tiny licks from everything from nursery rhymnes to grateful dead... total mastery of his instrument
RDJ Obviously
