"hey, watch out for funkmaster...
:D"

haha, you're right though, watch out for me!!! :)

I love Peter Gabriel, and wish I could go see him somewhere,
but he would never come here where I live... I enjoy his
soundtrack albums most... although Security, Us, and Up are
all great... I don't have So, but I have most of the songs
on that greatest hits album, and most of those are top
notch!

as far as the pop thing, I'd say that So is really the only
pop album he has released... Us maybe... but Us is more
subdued with the exception of Steam and Digging in the Dirt,
the two singles...

uh-huh...

i was just joking around, like it'll be a popular tour. the
joke is that "she's so popular" is a (fake) lyric sung by
kate bush in "games without frontiers" (it's actually a
french lyric horribly mispronounced)

there you have it, the "titsworth" sense of humor

well after reading your explaination of the joke 5 times, I
got it and laughed out loud... you have a real accessible
sense of humour I must say!!! ;)

heh, I had read some stuff about his first few shows for the
up album, and he does seem to border on being pretentious
sometimes, but I still love him!! :)

what's he pretending? it's just putting on a show, it's not
like he walks into stores and restaurants like that...

pretending? Hmmm... anyways, what I was refering to was that
I had read for the shows he starts in this womb like sack,
and that he leaves the sack and it's like a rebirth... heh,
it seems a bit funny to me... but, again I still love his
music... that whole thing is in reference to the song
Growing Up, where the lyrics talk about all that...

i know, i'm just saying it's not pretentious just cos you
think it's silly.. he thinks it's interesting or
thought-provoking, i doubt he's doing it pretentiously

nod, I guess you're right... and I don't know, I don't
really think it's silly... everyone here should know I love
and adore Peter Gabriel, and have lots of respect for his
music... I really don't know what I mean actually... :)

Us is my favourite. I love the way his sound hasnt really
changed much over the years, which is cool cause he doesnt
really sound like anyone else. World music or whatever.

hmmm, strange... I personally feel his sound has changed
pretty dramatically... Security is the earliest album of his
I have, and I think it's totally different from So... So and
Us are pretty similar, although Us is probably more
subdued... and Up is totally different again... and then you
have his soundtracks which are totally different from
everything else he's done...

on of the MOST talented artists around, plus his studio is
sooooo beautiful, i would love to take a tour.

anyway i digress.....he's stands for GOOD causes, and is
credible with his beliefs. his song Biko just makes me FEEL
what it musta been like in South Africa all those years
ago.......plus his fun songs like BIG.....i imagine artists
with BIG EGO's not liking that one to much.......ehhehehe

he's great.....and his soundtracks are wonderful.....he is
un diss-a-ble!
