Sandgate Parties is a new track you can now download from my side project Teapot Industries, the same side project responsible for the chapi chapo remix on salad table. This track is based on a song i did 5 years ago at the age of 15... i've sampled the old song too, thats the steel drum melody that loops... this new version also has rapping on it ;) let me know what you think

I didn't like it too much...sorry :( I don't know what it was, but it just didn't grab me...I mean it isn't really the type of music I listen to so that probably has something to do with it, but there was nothing special about it.

Very different to your normal stuff... if your regular tracks are BoC, this is hell interface ;)
I especially like the punchiness of the drums- sounds like an old crunchy 16 bit drum machine. I like the elements individually, but feel there's something just slightly off about the way they all sound together. I think it might be the xylophone throwing it off...
Still, an enjoyable track and an interesting new direction for you. I'll say one thing... lux undosa.

very nice ... great vox chopz
if you did an instrumental version, it could well be a xanpha track :)
[perhaps its a slightly unusual vox/melody combo, but doesn't make it less enjoyable.: perhaps filtering the vox through a vocoder?]
great stuff tho, :. elements remind me of: prefuse73, mask-y boc .. ahh a lot of stuff.

yeah! MASK was what kinda inspired me to do it... and the actually backing track is just mostly a scrap draft of a song i was working on a while ago, then i sampled that old cassette track i did years ago... then i sampled aussie hip hop group Downsyde :)

cool. ahhh downsyde .. i was wondering where or how you got that sample - i take it though that you chopped it up???
a lot of yer stuff has tinges of quasi-mask-ness to it. very nice :)
that xylophone loop thing is pretty narly for a 15 year old, who knows you could yet make a 1998-2005 selected ambient works :)

All my stuff more than 3 years old was tragically lost during a port between 2 PCs :( Most of it was utter gash, but one or two tracks were quite good and I'd like to try to recreate them one day...
