Those old games make me feel warm and fuzzy inside, I'm a
HUGE nostalgia freak. I'll be playing NES when I'm 90.

Your Avatar= A+

thanks Ophecks. =)

I actually play more old games
than new games...
I play oldies (as we call them)
quite ofthen,
and I don't think I'll ever stop.

I also enjoy listening to old
scene (c64/PC/Amiga) music and computergame music (c64/nes
mostly).

Nowadays I've started
listening more to c64-remixes...
There are some really good ones
I tell you.

Feel free to tell me your all-time fav
oldies, or just name a few that I shouldn't miss. If you
think there are too many to mention, just mention some
within ONE (perhaps your favourite?) genre... =)

One thing my NES taught me, was to be patient. Since you
couldn't save your status in most games you HAD to finnish
the game playing it through at once.

Kids that grow up today and play new games, they can save
their status everywhere - at any time...
When we grew up we had to play every game over and over, til
I finnished it.

But I sure enjoyed every moment of it, eventhough I
sometimes, e.g. when fighting the boss of the last level of
a game, almost making it, but then dying,
felt frustrated.

But all of that, I enjoy. Sure do.

oh good GOD. that game has nearly broken my little control

of my all-time favorites. =]

yeah hehe...
I don't think I ever finnished it,
but I know I played it til I got til the last
stage...
I borrowed it from a friend...

i don't care what anybody else says - DUCKHUNT is the best
NES game ever!!!

lol duckhunt? that's the lamest game!!!

it's so lame it's awesome (by the way of "it's so bad it's
good") - that's exactly what i like about it - it's all just
about shootin' them ducks an' nuthin' of that
fancy-schmantzy shiznitz! ... and besides, when you're 10
years old, you're not exactly legal age to own a gat, now
are ya?!? so that game compensated quite well for wanting to
be a gangsta, yo! DUCKHUNT OWNS!!!

I guess. I use to love it... and my dad would always play
the one with the discs.. and I thought it was soo hard so
i'd stick with the ducks.
The music is great... I must admit. hehe

what about old-school Gameboy games?
anybody ever play The Simpsons : Camp Crusty?!? man, it
took me ages to beat that game! i think it was only
recently, when i saved my gameboy from being crushed by a
thick layer of dust that i finally got through the damn
thing! i love that game though! ain't nothin' cooler than
being Bart Simpson throwin' down a boomerang like it ain't
no thang! ... and when you'd throw it at lisa, she'd say:
"ow! bart, quit it!"

Now, it is beginning of a fantastic story!! Let's make a
journey to the cave of monsters! Good Luck!

. . .

River City Ransom has ALWAYS been my favorite NES game. I
don't think I'll ever get bored of it. Ever. Perfect blend
of beat'em up and rpg - way ahead of it's time.
The risque shower scene has still yet to be outdone.

those pictures on your site are very BOC-ish! i quite like
'em! Alberta seems far more stereotypically Canadian than
o'er here (Ontario) - it's all just pure farmland all
around, pretty well, and a smattering of large & mid-sized
cities and towns here and there - T.O. on the left, Windsor
on the right, etc.

maybe we could have a contest for "the prettiest avatar",

pansy underage ballerinas in pink tutus.

Alberta is nice. I like it.. probably because it's my
homeland (in a native voice).. I love Calgary... cow-town.
It's so comforting.. I love the west. I love the mountains..
I love Canada... (not speaking about gov't and politics) but
the land.. it's very BOC to me.. that's why I connected with
the music so much, but I guess everyone does in their own
way.. but like some things from here, from here in the 80's,
my childhood connect so well and fit. It's cool. I love
that. Damn im in this weaky love mood. Don't mind my
ramblings...

clotheshorse crew? no. gimmie some linkage, yo!

we're actually kind of hoping to get mcenroe to master the
compilation my emcee and i are putting together. he's
mastered the Bending Mouth album, done by fellow Londoner
Thesis Sahib who will be on the comp. too (he did the cover
for the limited version of Buck 65's "synesthesia").

we've definitely got some kick-arse underground hip-hop
comin' outta our country!

well, i went to the pigeon john show (an MC out of L.A.) put
on by the downsideup network:
DSU network

on the 'Pigeon John Carries The Message Across Canada' tour
- they just stopped by Calgary last night, and alberta the
night before that, actually.

and i got the CD by Factor featuring a bunch of MCs from
around Canada. there is a track by soso on there, and i
quite liked it, but i haven't heard any other stuff by him
to date. Eekwol supported Pigeon John on the tour - have
you heard of her?
