where bluebirds fly has a nice eastern sort of melody going, but the other one is shit. oh well, thats why they're bsides. then again, radioheads past bsides have been my favorite work from them. cuttooth, worrywort, meeting in the aisle, a reminder, palo alto, punchdrunk lovesick singalong. these are all album quality songs. |

well i've been listening to them today and i have to say i prefer the amnesiac b-sides although they are REALLY similar in style. can you see a pattern here? they put the experimental stuff out as b-sides now... as whole i think the single works pretty nicely. i can't wait to hear new b-sides though. thom said in an interview that if he gets his way there are gonna be loads of singles this time around since this is their "pop record"... maybe 2+2=5? and i think an internal memo of the record company was leaked and it comfirms this by saying that at least 2 singles are gonna get released in the next 6 months. if you look at the timetable smilarities for the last two albums the first single comes out at the end of may (pyramid song) and the second one (knives out) at the end of july. phew. |

GOT IT! woah when i heard 'when bluebirds fly' i was thinking it would be this cheery lil numbah...... like the disney flick (song of the south) from where that title must be a borrowed lyric, from the song zipadee do da it definately had a darkish feel, and thoms humming? was kind eerie.....berry nice. i can't believe it's a B side, but i guess since there's no singing per se, that must be why...... very cool!!! |

it's funny, i can NOT find "paperbag writer" on soulseek anywhere! i did get the other one though and it rocks. i recorded it in mono off the webcast a few months back but it's even better in cd quality. soooo gescom. but if anyone has the other mp3 please send it to me. |
