i hope someone can help me with this

i want to play a FPS (quake/halflife) over the internet,
what do i need to do for that?

which internet site should i go to, or what program must i
use to play a multiplayer internet game?

to play quake/halflife/cs you need the game and a good
internetconnection. All of these games have build-in
browsers in the mp tabs. just download the updater proggies
from the appropriate sites and off you go. There's basically
no need for external programs to run those games.
