One of 3 possibilities: 1. BoC like john cage. 2. BoC use filler track to take cd length to 66min 6secs. 3. BoC make people really listen to their surroundings by confusing them into trying to hear nothing - hence "magic window." or have i missed something entirely and proved myself an ignorant fool? I'd appreciate any feedback, cos i don't know what the track is for, and it's bugging me now. Thanku :) |

I think the second one is the reason, but who knows for sure. Dont call yourself ignorant, the whole point of this board it to learn about these kinds of things.....Morton said something similar in another thread...... |

A "Magic Window" is suppose to be some kind of frequency that could kill if listened to, or something like that. But the frequency's to high for a cd. |

well my old CD player was emitting weird noises when playing Magic Window... (the CD player itself, mechanical noises, not noises through the headphones) i had to change it, sadly, because it made my headphones berserk apparently because of high frequencies! and the new one isn't as good as the old one was, it spits in-between and even into some tracks... (can't play Fluke - Kitten Moon properly on CD now!!) =( i doubt it is because of this, but just in case of, i will avoid playing Magic Window again... |

the brown noise is the frequency range that can make humans poo themselves. unpleasant, and i'm kinda glad it wasn't on the cd :) |

uzim - wow. call me a conspiracy theorist but that's kinda weird. and i always that it was the most calming song on the album. coincidentally, my friend used to have a cd player that seemed to refuse to play any kind of pop music. it used to kinda creak and then turn itself off. he got rid of it in the end, the fool. |

Komakino - yeah, that's my favourite song on there as well, i get shivers every time. there's another track by family of god called family of god (i think) that uses the same children-samples, and i always wonder where they came from originally. |
